EN60204 Testing

Safety Systems Technology provide testing of permanently installed electrical systems to machinery in accordance with EN60204-1. 

Section 18 of EN60204-1 describes the requirements for verification of the safety of electrical equipment of machinery via inspection, testing and subsequent documentation. 

This verification includes – 

1. Compliance of electrical equipment with documentation.

2. Visual examination for damage and deficiencies.

3. Protection from direct contact.

4. Fault protection – Verification of the continuity of the protective earthing system (Test 1)

5. Earth fault loop impedance and suitability of the associated overcurrent protection device (Test 2)

6. Insulation resistance tests.

7. Residual voltage tests.

8. Functional tests.

Validation of electrical safety can be checked and validated through the use of our state of the art GOSSEN METRAWATT ProfiTest Prime testing machine.
